  2. Pour baking soda on the stained cloth. The amount of baking soda should be sprinkled depending upon the amount of coconut oil on your cloth. Make sure that the stain is fully covered with the soda.
  3. If stains are small or new, let baking soda stay on the cloth for about 15 to 20 minutes but if there is coconut oil in an excessive amount, you may have to wait for about 30 to 60 minutes or sometimes even more.
  4. Now take a debit card or a piece of hardboard and use it to remove the baking soda from the cloth. Pressing and moving the card on your cloth will remove baking soda filled with absorbed coconut oil. 
  5. Once all the baking soda powder has been removed, use hot water to wash your clothes. If done rightly, you will have a cloth without any stain after going through this process.

How to remove coconut stains from clothes with vinegar

  1. Vinegar could be a great choice to remove coconut oil stains from your clothes but experts recommended only using white vinegar for this purpose. Also, always use vinegar mixed with water to protect your clothes from bleaching.
  2. Pour about 100ml of vinegar in a bucket full of water and put your stained clothes inside the water. Rub the satin for some time so that coconut oil can be removed from the fabric.
  3. Let your cloth stay inside the vinegar-water mixture for about 15 to 20 minutes and let the vinegar work. Keep on checking the cloth after 5 to 10 minutes to see if there are any signs of bleaching. If you notice any issues, remove the cloth from the mixture immediately.
  4. After the recommended time has been passed, wash your clothes with water in your washing machine as you normally do. Using hot water is suggested for better treatment of the cloth or coconut stains on it.

How to remove coconut stains from clothes without washing

  1. Using various kinds of powders such as talcum, baby powder, or cornstarch would be the best choice if you want to remove coconut oil stains from your clothes without washing.
  2. Covering the satin with powders will allow it to absorb every last drop of coconut oil from the cloth.
  3. It is highly recommended to put an excessive amount of powder on the stain and let it stay there for more than two hours or sometimes for a whole night. 
  4. The powder will change color as it will absorb coconut oil from the cloth. Scratch the powder off the cloth with a card and apply the powder again on it.
  5. Keep on repeating this step until you see that powder is not changing its color anymore.
  6. Now simply dry your cloth without using any dryer or sunlight. Just place the cloth indoors and let it dry.
